I’m quite happy to be leaving this stage of my pregnancy. There is a lot of worry, nausea and fatigue that I am excited to leave behind. Well, maybe not the worry completely, but I think I’ll have a lot less of it.

I’ve learned that even though my craving for meat and cheese has abaited a little, my need for it hasn’t. I’m pretty sure it’s lack of protein that’s made me so sick this week–or at least it’s a contributing factor. Yesterday was the worst. I couldn’t keep anything down and had to leave work early. But, at home I mixed some protein powder with milk and had cereal and it helped a lot.

Mark is such an angel. He’s been catering to my every food and drink whim–not venturing into the strange and typically unedible–but not in our cupboards nevertheless. Last night it was apple juice since I was having a hard time with water. He bought 2 kinds just to be safe–filtered and non.

We’ve reopened the debate about moving to a bigger place. We do love our apartment, but we just aren’t sure how long we can have a baby there. When it needs a crib, we’re in big trouble. There are a few options available for around the same price we’re paying now, but they are in “Palms,” Mark’s dreaded part of the city south of the 10 freeway. Truly, it’s not that bad there. There are a lot of apartments and parking can be tricky. I think his biggest problem is that we’d be out of the ward, and stake. So, we’ll see what happens. There is one for $1700 (yes, I know, outrageous) just a few blocks from where we live now and it has a washer and dryer in the unit. And a small yard. That would be fantastic. It even has a dishwasher. Yes, it is a bit expensive though. So, it would have to be fantastic inside. But, with those things it’s looking good.

I’m also starting to get a little stomach in my lower abdomen now too–which is making clothes a little tight. I’m thinking I’ll look officially pregnant, not just fat, in the next couple of weeks.

So, our little jumbo shrimp doubled in size this week. It has it’s own set of fingerprints now, and moves around if I poke my belly, though I can’t feel it yet.

This is a picture of someone else’s baby, but at this stage, I think they all look mostly the same.
