I don’t know, that’s just what they call it. Probably because it’s generally the easiest and best time of pregnancy–no more sickness and fatigue, and not yet big enough to cause too many aches and pains.

Apparently it’s worked for me…that horrendous bout of sickness of the past couple of weeks has nearly disappeared. I still have smell aversions, and certain things are extrememly unappetizing, but overall I am feeling pretty good.

We’ve re-examined our living situation and think we’ll stay where we are until the baby is born. After a lot of looking over the weekend, we couldn’t find anything that wasn’t pretty ridiculous–in price and looks. Well, there was one 2 bed, 2 bath condo for rent in Beverly Hills that was incredible with brand new everything that was pretty close to what we would have picked if we were designing something–even down to the curtain rods and curtains. But, alas, it’s renting for $2850 a month. No, that isn’t a typo. No, there wasn’t a pool, fitness center, or butler either.

Mark briefly thought maybe living in Glendale (about 12 miles northeast of his work) would be feasible, so we drove around to check it out. There are a lot of places for rent there, and we saw the outside of a couple of nice choices–they’re basically a lot more room for about the same as we pay now. But, after driving home with no traffic and it took 30 minutes, he really didn’t think it would be too fun.

So–we’ll stay where we are, save our money and work towards finding a living situation that isn’t as ridiculously overpriced somewhere else.

I’m still down a couple of pounds from where I was a few weeks ago, but I’m trying to eat a lot. So, I’ve basically lost a pound from where I was when this started. I’m thinking it’s muscle though since I don’t work out like I used to. And,  I don’t look like I’ve lost weight either–my stomach is definitely not as flat as it was. We’ll see what the doctor says next week.

So, the baby is getting pretty normal looking by now. It’s about the size of a lemon, excluding its legs. And, it’s cute little hands and feet are about 1/2 inch long! I wish we could see in and watch it making faces with it’s new facial muscles too. We’re wondering if its going to try sucking its thumb now too.

With Hannah… on her ultrasound, we caught her sucking her thumb… and she hasn’t stopped. Well there was about 6 weeks where she didn’t! I love the second trimester with all my kids!
