Bye Bye 801, Hello 310.

April 29th, 2008UncategorizedIt’s been two years! Mark and I had our anniversary a week ago today and I didn’t post about it. I thought about it on Thursday or something, but I’d already posted for the week, and so I didn’t. But, now that it’s posting time again I feel like I should write something.
I love Mark. He is so wonderful and it just keeps getting better. Sometimes when I think about how we found each other I am still amazed and thank Heavenly Father for His great blessing. Mark is always so thoughtful and surprises me with little things for special occasions, but for bigger gifts, I need to give hints. (This is because I like to be surprised. He just tells me what he wants because he doesn’t like them as much).
When he came home he had a beautiful bunch of brightly-colored spring flowers, 2 chocolates from Godiva, and my “real” present–The Wii Fit! (at least, the order receipt, it’s not out yet) Before anyone thinks he’s a mean husband for getting his wife an exercise thing (especially just after a baby) I asked for it. It’s the whole reason I said we could get the Wii in the first place. He was actually reluctant because he thought it might not be a good idea. I insisted it was just fine and I would tell people he wasn’t mean.
I love you honey!
And now, onto the title of the post: I had phone trauma. I’m now sporting a cute little BlackBerry Pearl in blue. I didn’t even realize I had misplaced my phone for a day and a half. I knew it was gone when Mark came home Wednesday night and said he’d made his nightly call on the way home from work, but I didn’t hear the phone. After some thinking, I realized it was either in our cousin Shannon’s car, or lost. This was kind of fortunate, because the phone I’ve been using for a few months was only meant to be temporary. It forced me to actually go get a phone I liked. I went on Thursday to look at the phones in person after pretty much deciding on the Pearl and got a good deal (free) if I changed my number to a local LA number, so I had to do it. Bye Bye 801, Hello 310. And, as soon as I got the phone I learned that the phone was actually in the car, so not lost after all. Now, we have it as a temporary phone for the future.
Brit is growing so fast–and getting bald. It is seriously traumatic for me. I look at pictures of him even a couple of weeks ago and I see that he’s lost so much.
I’m having a great time with him though. After coming back from Utah I noticed he picked up a bad habit of liking to be held all the time. Now, I do love holding him and I do try to hold him a lot, but I think he got used to it last week and wants it all the time now. But, he does one thing that is awesome–he falls asleep at night on his own. I wrap him up, lay him down and he goes to sleep. I have the best baby!
He also makes such funny expressions we just laugh at him. He’s looking around a lot now, reaching for things in front of him, and smiling all the time. He loves sitting up and has really good head control.

Hanging out…so sweet!

Precious little feet!

He’s getting chubby!

Learning to reach, loving the pictures!

I have done the same thing to my husband about wanting something that they really should not buy you. I begged and begged for a new vacuum for almost five years and he never got me one. But two years ago be finally gave in and gave me one for Christmas. I was so excited. And just this past Christmas he bought me a new washer and dryer that i have been begging for, for quite a while. P.S. I love the look on Brit’s face, his eyes are so big! He is so cute!

You make me laugh! Can I exercise with you when I get there in a couple of weeks???
Carli makes me laugh too…you do what you have to do…right?
Cute pictures I love seeing him change. I’m missing his hair falling out, his cute smiles and everything else. So thanks for the updates and texted pictures. It looks like he likes his book~
How are his friends Mav and Hudson doing? Brit has the biggest eyes ever~ I love them.
Tell Sarah (spell) hi too from me. -
Ooooh, I got mentioned in the blog! Hee hee. Sorry your phone got “lost” in my car but I’m glad you got a free Blackberry!
I was going to call you for a play date last week (more for the mommies than the babies) but then Teo and I got a cold.
We’ll have to hang out again when we’re all better though. Bummer, I wanted another cupcake at Farmer’s Market! Oh did Mark like that cheese?I remember when Mateo’s hair started falling out. It was sad, he was sporting a bald spot for a while. Now it’s so long, I just had to give him a little haircut. So don’t worry, it eventually grows back.
Cute pics, I love the one of his tiny feet!
