Monday we went to the zoo in Colorado Springs with our cousins. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen Tricia, and the first time we meet Tate, her youngest who is 6 months older than Britton. It’s built into a mountain, so there are a lot of levels.

Tricia brought crackers for the Giraffes. The kids had a lot of fun feeding them.

They were very eager to get the snack.

He wasn’t afraid at all…it took it right from him.

This one had a super long tongue and was very excited. It was really gross. But Brit liked it.

Britton petting the wallaby. It was really cute.

The grizzly bear swam right up to the kids in his enclosure.

Kaia was adored by her cousin A. Kaia liked her too!

We’ll definitely have to go back and explore it again. Thanks for a fun day guys!

  • Oh, what fun!!! We lived in colorado springs a while back, and I think all of my favorite memories were made at the zoo. Feeding giraffes is the best! But i will admit none of us were ever cool enough to do it from our mouth!! Nice work Britton!!! Your kids are so darling!!!

  • You did? It send like a nice place. My aunt/cousins lived there when I was little so we visited once.
Too bad it’s more than an hour away though. There is the denver zoo when we need our animal fix.
I don’t know if it’s coolness or craziness. I never would have thought of it, but my cousin apparently does it with her kids all the time. Thanks! they’re pretty fun. Kaia is getting hilarious. I miss reading your blog all the time since you went private…it doesn’t show up in my google reader and I Always forget to check others.but I’m going now….I’m sure you have all sorts of cuteness that I need to catch up on.

  • What fun! Thank you for sharing your zoo trip and all the great pictures!

  • Thanks Alicia.
