Turning 2: A Party

I had Kaia’s party theme picked out months in advance–ever since we visited our friends in NC and threw their daughter a rainbow themed party–so I didn’t plan ahead a whole lot. I figured it’d be easy to find everything I needed or wanted. Plus, I was keeping it really simple. Until I actually started getting things and looking around on Pinterest and seeing all these fantastic ideas. It was hard not to get totally carried away.

We invited just a few friends. Kaia’s favorite people–her nursery teachers Bob and Reija being at the top of the list. Not everyone could come, but it turned out perfectly.

Cupcake Deliciousness

And she did really well blowing out her candles and of course, ate her cupcake all gone. It was a fun party with good friends and lots of colors.

The next day on her actual birthday she opened presents from us and others and loved them too. Especially her pink things.

Hugs with Mom

I think she had a fun day. She got to go to Nursery, which she loves. We tried all day to convince her that she was two, but she insists she’s 1 or 3. Never 2. I think she’ll get it sometime…

Happy Birthday little Angel girl. We love you!
